My 560 SEC idles fine when in park or neutral but when in gear the idle is very rough, and feels like it's going to stall. It does improve a little if the air conditioning is turned on.
I have read various posts on some american sites and they mentioned checking the OVP relay and the idle control valve (i think that's what it is - see the picture below) , so i thought I would investigate it.
I removed the fuse from the OVP relay and the engine speeded up - replaced and it slowed down, but this was nothing compared to when I disconnected the idle control valve! Revs incresed to around 1500rpm!
I wasn't sure if this told me where the problem lies? Just to add another thing into the equation, the fuel pumps are making quite a loud whining noise.
Can anyone help??
