Hi I have a e220d that when I start in the morning surges and rocks back and forth at traffic lights
I’ve had a boost sensor replaced after it went into limp mode on the motorway but the problem still persists and I feel it’s something to do with the air intake

First step is a proper diagnostic check either by MB Star diagnostics , or icarsoft readers .

Thanks man
Is that the independent merc place in Whitefield ?
I’ve had it on the diagnostic a few times at Benz automotive in Salford a few times and it came back with a few different codes but often the boost sensor and once the flow sensor I think they said
(The part responsible for how much fuel comes out when you step on the throttle)
It’s super annoying really because it’s only when I first start it up
If it’s been driven for 20 minutes it goes away but the rocking has increased as weeks have passed and the Rev counter blips very slightly when it’s at idle

Ah forgive me that’s the electronics and software I should be using to read the codes
The place I go Benz automotive uses I think the proper merc one because it downloads updates and is Mercedes badged showing diagrams and the steps to take to rectify the issue etc
Just seems like one of those annoying little gremlins in the system I reckon
Just wondered if anyone in here had the same problem or could offer any guidance for me

Thanks man

I’m in sunny Essex buddy, sorry 😞. Any MB specialist should get to the bottom of it

who do you go to in Salford?
I would recommend you go to SPR in Stockport you might wait a week or Two to get in and they are not cheap but you will get a proper answer
