5th Gear Presenter is burned in Dramatic crash

It appears it was a fire rather then a crash. The Crapo T1--- sorry Caparo T1 seems to have suddenly burst into flames. It uses lots of FI technology apart from the built in fire extinguisher system obviously. It apparently fails the 2 sets of golf clubs in the boot industry standard ;)

Yup it caught fire, he parked it, and got out.

Wonder if you get personalised Nomex overalls when you buy one? :D

Now you all know why it is dangerous to smoke whilst driving:rock:

I really can't stand him, he's so full of himself.

That said I wouldn't wish a crash or fire on anyone.

He couldn't have been that badly burnt.

He was released the same day and spent the night at his home in Oxfordshire.
He saw a burns specialist again on Wednesday morning.
It has not been revealed how fast Mr Plato was travelling when the accident began.
Despite his injuries he has vowed to race at this Sunday's final touring car race meeting.

My ex schoolmate, we were classmates in secondary school and in his defence he's quite a nice bloke really.

It couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke, he's a total ars*hole, he blanked kids asking for autographs a few years ago:mad: , I gave him a piece of my mind (rare occasion as theres not much left) he sh*t him self I think he tought I was going to hit him:devil:

Phil

Charming.

And the fuel pump had problems...what a load of cr*p...

Rather have a 911 GT2...drove my mate Andy's one back in October...loved every minute of it.

I think that's an awesome car.

Completely impractical of course and hardly the last word in reliability (to put it mildly), but I'm pleased things like this can still be done in the world and even more pleased that they can be done in Britain!

Excellent bit of design and engineering (when it works) - though I can't help wonder who would actually buy one. An ex-F1 car can be had for less money - after all who is going to drive one on the road?

I'd rather judge him so quickly to be honest. You might be right, you might be wrong. Who knows what his concern or priority was at that exact moment.

I'd much rather have been ignored by him than have harm wished on me by you.

A mate of mine tried to get an autograph from him a few years ago and was totaly blanked. Mate said he was more interested it getting his hair looking good for a photo shoot on the pit lane. Said mate saw him a year later and mentioned in jest if his hair was looking good and got a scowl that would sour milk!!!! Total *****!!!
