5w30 or 5w40 oil for om651 engine

Which oil is better to run for this engine? 5:30 or 5:40?

Anything that meets Mercedes spec 229.52.

As mentioned, must be 229.52 MB spec but 5W30 seems to be the one that Mercedes recommend for that engine, thats what I use in mine anyway.

Cheapest place to get it is Direct from Merc Newcastle or Edinburgh sold through their ebay selling pages/shop.

owners manuals are ambiguous and pretty useless as they cater for all scenarios all around the world in all climate condistions..

Owners on here are more knowledgeable.

5W30 is recommended for the UK.
