6000m tyre wear on a B200 auto?

Hi Folks
I just got my first MB but am shocked that the Contis which have only 6400m on them are down to 3mm. The first 5600m were done by the MB dealership (she was advertised as a 5 month old demonstrator) so I've only done 800m and it looks like I'll have to get new fronts on shortly.
Is this normal or has the dealership been having track days with the car??
Tyres are Conti 5 RF 225/40/18 W92.

Demonstrators are often loaned to customers whilst their car is in for work, so you have no idea who has been driving it and in what manner. Worth raising with the supplying dealer about what seems excessive tyre wear and let them know that you'll be back if the next set of tyres wear as fast.

Just a thought, but did you check the tyres before you bought the car? It's not unknown for wheels to be swapped between agreeing to buy the car and collecting it.
