I've got a 98 E300TD (W210) which has been overhauled once about 55k kms ago and I have recently replaced the injector nozzles.

The problem is that when I start my car in the morning it starts fine without any smoke. After about 5-8 minutes of idling the engine sound drastically changes as if it has got bad nozzles and it starts giving out alot of blue smoke.

Can some one please point out the problem? Do I have bad piston rings or valve seals?

Any help is appreciated!

I assume you have a clean air filter.
Can I suggest clean the MAF

Blue smoke is oil smoke - black smoke is excess fuel.

With clouds of blue smoke it's not likely to be anything to do with fuelling (i.e. air filter, MAF, etc.)

Best of Luck but be prepared.....it may be serious.

I'm sure one of our experts will be able to point you in the right direction!

Air filter is clean, I am very carefuk with the filters.. the car is regularly serviced and I frequently clean the MAF and the MAP sensors.

Yes im pretty sure it has to do something with oil... it drives fine and the smoke does clear out after a while when the car is driven.

Do a compression check first.
