6600 miles V reg SL320!

So long as it's been regularly serviced it's good. Price isn't that high either.

Never sure if such low mileage is good or bad??

SL320

definately a bad thing, you cant service things properly that just havent been exercised... i bet it will squeek, rattle, have all sorts of rubber parts in bad condition....

If i were buying that car i would change anything perishable instantly..

i woudl stay away...

That's probably a bit excessive. This is a modern car - not a R107 where things slowly rot away regardless.

LOL, If it's been properly looked after it can still be a nice car. My 190E hardly gets used but that doesn't mean it suffers because of it. It still gets more servicing than a lot of other cars, MOT'd every year, top quality oil and filter and gets excercised properly - I simply don't use it to pop to the shops for 2 mile journeys etc.

Even if it did have mechanical faults due to lack of use, they can be rectified. You can never undo high mileage wear and tear from seats, upholstery, original paintwork, switchgear etc.

I wouldn't rule that car out if I was looking for a top example of an SL320 :)

no i agree but less than 900 miles a year from new is no good for a car of that vintage...

just save yourself 10K and buy one with normal miles...

But if you want the very best, it is after all a virtually new car :)

People will pay this for exceptional examples.

900 miles in a year - about 40 miles twice a month would keep it running ok IMHO. As long as it's stored properly and maintained correctly it would be ok.

Even your R107 only does 2k a year you said?

I think that it will be a nice car, and as stats says there should be nothing wrong with it, change some fluids and away you go

Yes but thats an older car, relatively few electronics and i keep on top of all the perishables...

All i am saying is that i have had a lot of low mileage cars through mercland, and i can tell you that i have had to spend a lot more time on "preparation" with these vehicles as opposed to those with reasonable miles.

You pays your money at the end of the day...

:o I am not looking at buying it, where would I put 4 kids!! Just thought it may be of interest to someone.

Then again, on the autotrader search, the one below it only had 9000 miles!

Well I think it looks like a great example, probably one of the very best. With that kind of mileage it's probably been cherished and it does have a full service history. I doubt there's much perished on it compared to, say 10 or 15 year old 129s with say 50-100k miles?

I can't see why an R107 would be fine with low-mileage use, but a seven year old R129 wouldn't?

I too think that it is a great car and been stored/ garaged in good conditions.

Looking through the holes in the wheels the brakes etc are all mint, no corrosion on the alloys either, Its a good buy for someone

Nice SL there!

I can recommend Marcos Fothergill, too. I bought my E320 Coupe from him in March 2005. My parents picked it up on a Sunday, with no major problems.
The only thing was that the electric mirrors didn't work. (Something I would think should have been picked up and sorted before sale).

All in all, a good place and nice to chap to deal with :)
