Hi All,

Having a look at my service book and manual and trying to make sense of what will (should) be done tomorrow at the B service at 68k miles.

Can anyone advise so that I can go in with a clear expectation of what to check the garage have done when I collect the car.

Thanks

Simon

all depends on what service it last had and when the last time it had a change of brake fluid, coolant, pollen filter etc etc

Last service was an A service at 58k and from the looks of it the only thing done was oil change.

Before that a B service with change of oil, topup of coolant, change of air cleaner, brake fluid, combination filter and dust filter.

I don't see the plugs ever having been done, and am wondering about the fan belt and cam belt/chain.

Spark plugs, in addition to the oil and filter(s) change ?

I always change the gearbox fluid, brake pad check, disk check and ARB bush check, change the plugs, filters, change the pollen filter (if fitted), check the rear diff, check the prop shaft couplings, re adjust the hand brake, oil the locks, check the lights and check the brake fluid and brake lines. Some of these checks are probably unessential, but if you have the car in the air it doesn't hurt or take too much time.

My Indy changed my windscreen wipers too as part of my B service

That is exactly what they have done. As well as give me a ticket for free public transport all day and a couple of coffees. Engine also looks like it has been steam cleaned and I've never seen the interior look so clean!!!

Well pleased - couldn't fault the dealer one little bit!

Was it expensive ?
Not a penny, all covered under the service contract - as was the MOT. Forgot to mention that I also got a free repair of the number plate lights at the back - new bulbs I put in at the weekend didn't fix it and MB seem to have done something to assist (or is it assyst??!)

What dealer did you use?
