Hi,

Just swapped out my 84mm pulley and fitted the 77mm pulley with a re-flash from Eurocharged.

There is a noticeable difference, the torque kicks in much earlier giving progressive acceleration without too much effort. Sometimes it's nice to put the car in comfort mode for the low rev pull V8 grumble, rather than snaking down the road with the traction control off like an idiot and popping flames, ha.

I live in Cornwall and love the place but most of the UK Merc specialists are 250+ miles away so I've managed to do pretty much everything on my driveway with a bit of guidance from some top guys and I think they deserve a shout out!

Firstly, Paul from Eurocharged. This guy is a legend! He's gone far beyond what I expect from a tuning garage. From helping me diagnose my misfire with a few conversations over the phone, guidance rebuilding my supercharger, guidance fitting and supplying my manifolds (headers), supplying the PCS under bonnet tank, Remapping with Euroflash using the cable etc, the list goes on. Thanks.

Secondly, Asad (Acid) from MSL. Another legend for arranging the 77mm pulley for another forum member and I from Shardul in the US. We didn't have enough people interested in a group buy so Asad offered to help out and took care of everything and the price was even the same due to the bigger purchase volume. If you need a pulley, speak to Asad. Thanks!

Next for my car will be a LSD although I'll miss the current group buy due to paying off a chunk of the Mort last month.I'll also be getting a spare set of 16" wheels with slicks for drag racing and some 18" for drifting events! :)

If you're thinking of getting the 77mm pulley fitted, do it! ha

Great to hear you're enjoying it!!!

Jules

Cheers Jules. The Gates 1255 is a tight fit but it keeps it nice and tight, not sure how much stress the tensioner is under at that angle but time will tell. It doesn't slip at all and a new tensioner is cheaper than a BWK so result!

For anyone interested, my old 84mm pulley is now boxed up ready in the F/S thread.

Tom

Good stuff Tom, can't wait to get mine done.
