Mercedes C350E 16 Plate Premium Plus
First Post! =]

Mrs bought a c350E with the 7 Speed gearbox, its a 16 plate.

Car drives faultless and its extremely sooth, but equally complicated.

Its on 80k miles, the gearbox is smooth, it can jerk a little when its cold and it changes from 1-2.

I come from VAG cars, dont really know much about Mercedes so my intuition tells me it should be due for a Gearbox oil change. Ive spoken to Mercedes who say it doesnt need a gearbox oil change. I thought id ask on here as, if Mercs are anything like VAGS, the dealers usually know Sqat about thier own cars, its the enthusiasts who are the fountain of knowledge.

Now im pretty sure the occasional jerk when cold is normal, however its best to keeps things healthy before they fail.

So does anyone here know if it is due for a change, whats the ball park figure for an oil change on one of these, and if any specialists could be recommended in the birmingham area?

Normally the Mercedes-Benz 7G-TRONIC PLUS Automatic Transmission requires an ATF and filter change every 5 years or 77,500 miles, whichever occurs occurs first.

But possibly things are different for you hybrid car... I don't know. Have a look here and check for yourself: Mercedes-Benz UK | ESS - Electronic Service Sheet

If ESS says it's due, then your best bet is a Mercedes-Benz Service Care Plan: Service Care Plans - Mercedes-Benz Cars UK

Said that, I would say that even if ESS says that an ATF isn't required, get it done anyway.

If you want to get it done at an MB dealer, you could try: Mercedes Dealership | Birmingham, Manchester | LSH Auto UK

Doses the Service History have any record that the ATF has been changed ?
