I actually like it.

I've always fancied the R129 because of the four seat option and good sized boot, with the hood going behind the seats and not in the boot.

But, I also like the R230 for its looks (even though the boot is taken up with the hood when folded).

The guy who commisioned this was a visionary!

Why dont Mercedes make the SL in this way?

It would just work! You could get a good amount of luggage in the boot AND take the kids!

Just my 2p worth!

A lot of typical eBay BS in that ad.

It has the very sought after glass Panoramic roof which when new was an extra £7000 !

Er no, it cost £2600.

I seriously doubt anyone would really have spent £30k on modifying a 10 year old car. And why pick a 320 for goodness sake when a 500 (or even a genuine 600) would barely have cost any more?

But I do agree that in the pics at least it looks quite good (apart from the horrible wheels).

Its odd, you can see 129 lines on the car, and it looks like a mess. Would have been a nice car if it had been left alone.
