93 year old driver hits two Porsches while parking Fiesta

Another "parking mishap"

Mr Higgs said he could not explain how he managed to lose control of his 13-year-old car and smash into the Porsches.

One of the elite cars was a write-off while the other was badly damaged and will need extensive repairs.

Both cars were privately owned and were in the garage for servicing.

Mr Higgs' Fiesta, worth £600, was also a write-off.

Looks as if he lost throttle control and "ramped up" the back of the first porsche before rolling it over on the second. In this case a bit of a puzzle as is the frontal damage indicating collision with a fairly narrow object such as a bollard ?? Broken throttle return spring might fit quite well. Having had this happen once unless you have the presence of mind and the time to turn off the engine +select neutral????????
Had you said two 18 year old scr*ts" had nicked the car and gone joy riding etc insurance statistics would indicate that as a far more likely incident profile altho not in this case .

Normally I think a 'confused' driver simply hits the wrong pedal in panic. The Fiesta could have been an auto, too.
