2 very different graphs at Eurocharged today which one would you choose?? and can you guess which Merc's produced them. Both are being tested further this week and back on the dyno before the end of the week

Both are being tested further this week and back on the dyno before the end of the week
 
The first one has to be a big diesel, the second looks like a 65 Bi-turbo.

Mmmm CL65 - that would be nice Paul wouldn't it:D

We all love torque but there must be a sensible limit. I'm sure both would chew tyres but with 934lb/ft, just seems too extreme. Or is it a truck?

I would take the second set of curves:thumb:

But graph 1 has over 100bhp more at 3500 rpm and it takes the 2nd to 4500 rpm to overtake on bhp. As for torque the 2nd graph is way below the 1st until around 4400rpm.

They also drive very different.

the only petrol engine I know capable of theath kind of torque is the cl600 biturbo heavily tunned!!!:)

I misread graphs a bit as looking on my iPad and hadn't realised start points on graphs were different.

Can the first one get the power down though? It looks like a massive turbo diesel to me. Max rpm much lower too!

have you seen a massive Diesel engine doing 6000 rpm??:)
