Ok, I really didn't intend selling this, it was going to be my project, some nice wheels etc, but I drove past a local garage yesterday with a nice shiny boxster sat on the forecourt and i couldn't help but buy it. I dont need 2 cars, so the merc has to go.
I actually sold this car brand new in 1994 when i worked at the mercedes agent in ulverston cumbria (now pendragon owned). I can even remember the couple who bought it. They owned it for 3 years i think, then another local owner, then the guy who had it before me bought it in 2002 and had it for 7 years, he did all his own servicing and theres a long list of what he did and what he spent on it.
The car is in my opinion, extremely clean for its age, there is very little rust evident. I actually rang the last owner and asked him if the chrome arches were fitted to hide rust and he told me they weren't, he just likes them, in fact, they have been on the car since he bought it. Not to my taste, and that was going to be one of the jobs i was going to do to it.
Interior is pretty much mint ,no rips, no stains, no nasty smells, it really does look like its just a few years old.
Everything works, all electrics, the alarm, starts on the first turn of the key. MOT is september or october, ill double check the exact date.
If theres anyone out there after a cheap, honest, straight w124, then i can honestly say, you wont get better than this. Make me an offer over £800 and you'll own it. ill be cashing the tax at that price though, or just give me the value of what remains.
The stuff running down the drive in pic 2 is just rain water because id just moved the car from the top of the drive to take the pics.
