The car is a 1994 SL500. Just setting off today, after about half a mile the wiper stopped mid-wipe and the SRS light came on dimly.
Stopped, switched off, switched on; the wiper parked itself, and now won't move.
Trying to turn the wiper on or pressing the sreen washer brings the SRS light on dimly, but no wiper or spray of fluid; after switching off the wiper/releasing the washer button, the SRS light goes out after a couple of seconds.
All fuses are intact. The SRS warning light behaves perfectly normally otherwise, and eveything else is working OK.
My guess is that the wiper circuit is earthing back through the SRS warning light circuit. Is Fuse 11 the best place to start looking/twiddling/cleaning?
