98 SL60 Special Edition

I have a 1998 SL60 Special Edition. Had it about a year and half now. I have tried to do some research on the car and not been able to find anything. Found stuff on Limited Editions but not Special Edition. It has the AMG package. Rinspeed Logo on the back. Black interior with Red seat inserts. Red inserts on doors. Red face plate for the gauges. Black hard top. Red Soft Top. I beleive the car was purchased in Zurich and imported to the states a couple of years ago.

Anybody familar with this model and able to tell me anything about it?

Never heard of any official M-B 'edition' of the SL60 (which was a very low-volume car in the first place). I guess it's just been modded by a tuning/styling house somewhere.

Would be interested to see pictures.

That interior sounds alot like the Mille Miglia edition we had here....

Pics would help, could be a SL60 with a special order interior like that green ex-Sultan one in the ebay section at the moment.

that is a post done by one of my sales guys. the car is not for sale. I found that yesterday. I plan on keeping the car. I love it. He thought that everything was for sale. But not my car.

Where did you find the pictures? Its exactly like my car except different radio/nav system. Even has the guy with the checkered flag.

Apparently this is a AMG SL 60 Special Caro Edition- anyone familiar with this?- (certainly not UK)

The car is a special edition limited to 500 models and was only available in Germany. It was an SL500, however one could have been converted to SL60 spec by AMG.

The car above is just an aftermarket kit.
