Hey MBforum, My 99 C43 amg blows air when the car is off... the only way i can turn it off is if i take the fuse out under the hood, which is kinda annoying. So i was wondering what the problem could be. If its just the regulator then i have no problem finding one on ebay and replacing it myself. Just wana be sure though, so any experts out there give me your best advice thank you.

You're not activating 'residual heating mode' by mistake, are you? If you press the AC button with the ignition off then the fan will run for as long as the engine coolant is warm and the battery voltage is OK (up to 30 mins or so). If it does it every time then there is problem as this mode cancels next time you start the car. Could simply be a problem with the switch?

At another forum one W203 owner had a similar issue. I thought it would be the blower motor regulator but the owner claimed it was already changed. No solution for that car yet.
