I had this when I picked mine up a month back turned out just to be a regas and has been fine (touches wood)

Had mine into Merc today,
I need a condenser all paid up but its on back order
cheers marky

This is how bad the three flashes of the button light is.
It could be something simple like a re gas or an expensive fix like condenser.
Mind with all the ones that are going wrong it should have been done as a recall.

I don't even have a eta so God knows when it gets done

Had the flashing AC light about 4 weeks ago and I do use the aircon. I took it to a local specialist in Derby who checked over the AC system, and found it was completely empty. He pressure tested it and then added UV agent to the gas to help spot any future leaks. About £35 IIRC and it's been perfect ever since (almost too cold).

Ok.
I have had the car back to the main dealer and the A/C system was checked and the problem is a failed condenser.
Part due next week from Germany so should be back to full health by next weekend.
Mind I am not happy at the short life of these parts.
So if your reading this and your A/C is not working then brace yourself for a nice bill from the main dealer.

Some of them fail under warranty some of them after. The same issue affects SLK55.

So mine is back in as looks like it needs a new condenser. The garage I bought it off are fixing it though as only had it a few weeks luckily

Ok here is the update to this thread.
I took it into Mercedes Sunderland yesterday had the new condenser fitted and re gassed.
I now have a car that feels like a fridge inside with the A/C on.
It is ice cold!
So if you read this and your A/C is less than ice cold then it could be a fault with your system.

Picked mine back up today and all sorted with new condenser. Ice cold now :)

Both sorted under warranty? Mine goes in next month with the service.

What year car are yours too? Mine is 2013 with very low milage.

I don’t mean to put doubt there and I hope everything is fixed. The A/C system is made up of a fair few parts and a lot of connections. If any part has been replaced the system will have been vacuumed and refilled. So it is going to feel brand new no matter what part has been replaced, as mine did. Then twelve months later the same shite. Only time will tell if they’ve fixed it.

i think my condensor is leaking my gas, what price did they charge to replace yours. ? FTM .

I have an elderly rust bucket of a W203. AirCon didn't work, so 'my guy' diagnosed a faulty condenser radiator (pointed out the black staining where the leak was). Ordered a new Hella unit from Ebay (£65 inc P&P), my guy fitted and recharged for £120. (Took under 2 hours, as I stood and watched him do it,even helped hold a bit whilst he drilled a corroded pipe off LOL) Now all sorted. Sometimes, owning a 'vintage' MB can pay off...
