A class 2001 - refitting battery wedge

White thing thats screwed in alongside the battery.

Hassle getting it off unless you've got the right socket and a screwdriver-type fitting.

Inserted new battery. Same width as previous one. Can't get wedge back down the side.

Any ideas?

Hmm.Been looking at this. Battery is same width as one that came out but it looks like there is a protruding edge at the bottom (which is larger than old one).

Consequently, it looks like battery is supposed to slide into slot a little and bnecause it wont you cant get the wedge down the other side.

If I make my own wedge out of wood any idea if this will satisfy mot testers?
