I have an annoying creak or ticking noise when I move the steering wheel left and right, at low speed on my 2003 A Class. Appears to be coming from the offside suspension strut area

Have looked at previous forums on this problem and there is mention of

a) replace the top bearing on the suspension strut - have replaced top bearing, strut and coil sping on both sides
b) dryness on the UJ top and lower next to the rack - have lubed the UJ's top and bottom with lithium grease and both appear to have adequate lubrication
c) the spline on steering rod between upper and lower UJ needs lubricated - the spline looks OK and appears to be adequately lubricated

When I move the steering wheel left and right, the coil spring on the drivers side, appears to move along with the ticking noise

Anyone had this problem and cured it

Thanks
