Hi there, my 2012 A-class A160 has brakes that clunk or graunch at the point of stopping. By this I mean there's noise as it comes to rest.
There is also a bit of a clunk when the brake is released.
The problem is intermittent, get it most when the car has not been used for a few days, but most times it is apparent at the start of a drive and the problem usually goes away after a few miles.
The car is still under warranty & the Merc shop has "greased the brakes" a couple of times. I have also bought new brake pads.
Makes the worst noises in start-stop conditions.
Any suggestions?
