A class crazy interior electrical faults! Help!

Has any one had similar problems with an early a-class...the interior light keeps coming on for a 5-10seconds when accelerating after gear changes/pulling away and also all interior switches under radio (rear window demist, rear wiper etc) have stopped working.

If i push the end of the stalk for the front screen wash the rear wiper goes as well and the first front wiper setting doesnt work either!

Please help!!

This would suggest a loose connection. Has any body work been done to any part of the car ?

No bodywork but we did have a problem with the plastic cover in the boot ceiling that covers some connectors..it kpet coming loose and the rear washer pipe came loose and made the area damp!

Maybe I'll get in there with some WD40 or equivalent but the problems have gotten worse weeks after fixing the leak.

Gotta be worth a try though, thanks.

How much water got in and where did it end up? ie any ecus or similiar under the leak area.

Was just in the boot area and wasnt a major amount, as far as i know there are no ecu's etc in the back of the car, but hey it is an a class so i could easily be wrong!!
