A Class -Engine Diag lamp on dash

Wife not used for about two months. Battery was completely flat.

Jump started it with portable charger. But light is now on.
Is this normal considering its not been used?

Also, how far to drive to charge battery?

More often that less you get errors when battery is flat.

Need to do a nice long drive 1h or more for the battery to be charge assuming the battery is not dead ... A nice motorway drive when there is little traffic and making sure that you are 1 gear lower so as to have a bit higher revs should work. Saying that is easier and long term less expensive to have a battery charger
