Hi there,

My w168 seems really hard over bumps and holes in the road. Not back breaking, but very noticeable. I've driven my dads fiesta (V Reg, so not new by any stretch of the imagination) and it seems to be a lot smoother and drives over the bumps and holes a lot better than mine.

I'm not sure if its the suspension or if getting new shocks (I dont know if theyre needed to be honest) would help?

Any advice?

What profile are the tyres, larger rims with lower profile tyres give a harder ride.

SWB A class W168's are notoriously bumpy ...

Mine is the same. Wheels won't affect it really , they are just really bouncy.

I've been in A classes with 15 inch wheels , 16 inch wheels and 17 inch wheels and all are the same. The LWB versions are better apparently.

All A-classes have a rather harsh ride. It's just a characteristic of the car. The LWBs are a bit better, but still slightly crashy over bumps. It's when the ride stops being harsh, that you need to worry!
