Hi Chaps, I have an A class that has a strange fault. Quite often when I'm stationary it will feel like the car is jumping in to gear for a millisecond. The first time it happened I thought someone had just slightly nudged me from the behind but it is a very small judder, sometimes it happens twice in a row.
Everything else gearbox wise is fine and there doesn't appear to be any other problems, gear changes are smooth etc.
I do have a slight whining but again very slight that I thought was one of the pulleys that drive aircon/alternator but maybe its connected? Brakes don't seem as sharp as they used to, almost as if the auto box is still pushing forward, again maybe my imagination as it's not my main car and pads/discs might need doing...
I'm pretty handy with cars so is there anything that I might check? Hopefully you can point me in the right direction?
