Finally got a chance to give the newly acquired CLS55 an outside clean and gave the CL500 it's bi-monthly bath too. They're similar, but different haha.

The CL was cleaned with Gyeon Bathe and wiped down with Turtlewax Seal N shine. The CLS was owned previously by a detailer and was beading nicely, I will check in with him in case it's had a coating but the paint looks very nicely kept so a simple wash with Turtlewax Ceramic Shampoo which leaves some lovely beading.

A couple of beauties you have there and stonking results from being shown a little TLC.

Great piccies and loving the way you just manage to squeeze those big ol' MBs in the frame, capture the reflections of cotton wool clouds and snap a sunbeam or two, think that was a nifty David Bailey touch ... thank you for sharing, I enjoyed seeing those.

Thanks mate. To be fair I keep on top of cleaning the CL regardless of how often it's driven so it's easy to look after. The CLS seems to have been looked after well so as long as I'm thorough, it seems to come up really nicely.

Thanks for the compliment on the photos, I was pleased with how they turned out and trying to fit them into one photo other than just having them parked side by side. Literally cleaned them at those angles so thought I'd try. I'm blessed for space on the drive luckily so can get a few good pics.

All credit to you on both counts.

I know a lot of car images taken these days seem to be taken upside down and sideways (slight exaggeration here), as I have noticed from car meet follow-ups and on a number of forums/Facebook posts and while some can turn out well, for me I don't find they are as appealing or show the car off in quite the same way as the ones you have put up. For sure I love to see a bit of thought gone in the the shot and something a bit different, but I think that can be achieved by way of perspective in the angle viewed, looking down or up at the motor, taking a close up etc., all while keeping the camera relatively horizontal, it just makes things that bit easier to work out ... well it could be my tired old brain of course 🙃

I think you are blessed in more ways than your spacious drive, living the dream I would say going by the piccies ;)

I do know exactly what you mean. Sometimes a weird and wonderful angle on a photo can be interesting, and if it's an identifiable part of a car like a badge or alloy wheel it can be quite cool. Sometimes, just keeping it simple works just as well. I like the idea of photography but never invested in anything more than a decent camera phone and I use Snapspeed to enhance pictures without making it look artificial.h

this was actually the photo I was meant to post showing the back of both cars. Bit of perspective with the CL up front but the positioning was just luck as I washed them in each place haha.
