OK - have just had a few things happening all at the same time on my SL55 (03)

1)Visit Workshop showing on dash
2) Fuel Gauge fell to zero - (this may/may not be connected to the fact that I filled it up for the 1st time in my ownership!! - previously only run it on half a tank)
3) Boot wont fully close (ie the soft close to pull tight) - therefore roof wont fold down
4) Central locking seems reluctant / intermittent - may open on 3rd key press for example. Currently leaving the car unlocked!

These all occurred Tuesday.

Want to avoid a stealer. Havent a local STAR man so only have more basic codes read which show

P20B7 Increased Idle Speed due to SBC Low Voltage
and
P203A Fuel Tank Level: See tank level sensor (P1999)

I plan to have both the batteries checked for performance as a starting point.

Assuming its not simply a new battery required (could it be??)

What else/next to check?

Thanks!

thanks but I'm not in a position to do either right now....

I'm no expert but these all sound like low battery symptoms.
Fuel gauge is common, it will probably right itself, mine does it quite often.

Sorry I can't be more help.

The symptoms can also be caused by condensation causing poor circuit integrity - especially if the car is not regularly used. A good long run is sometimes the solution (it often was on my SLK).

Now you know what to do at weekend…..

At a guess.

Knackered batteries

Water in the boot buggering up the PSE pump (central locking)
