A few w211 e55 issues

hello all
I’ve recently become an owner of an E55 w211 with 84k
Unfortunately after a month had a few very expensive issues one being SBC failure
Anyway I need assistance please
I need to replace the harmonic dampener and see a tool is required
My local specialist and mb dealer don’t have it!
Does anyone have one that they could lend/rent??
Also I have an engine light on for secondary air system p410 I believe
Any ideas of what I should be looking for?

A loose wiring connector at the front-left of the engine, just if front of the rocker cover. At least that was the problem when I had similar in my CLS55

Or the pump it self. Not sure what the harmonic damper is tho ??

The crank pulley
There is a specific tool to lock the crank pulley so you can get the bolt undone

Get your own wrench for harmonic balancer from MB parts department. They aren’t mega expensive.

I have asked the local main dealer and they aren’t allowed to sell the tools
Company policy apparently!

It’s a cylindrical unit with 3 pins and an arm to use

the secondary air error

- replace the secondary air pump replay to start with, this made the error dissapear for 3 years
if that fails it will be a new unit which i had to put in eventually. Get a bosch unit thats cheaper than the merc part.

Give MB of Milton Keynes a call. This is where I bought mine from last year.

I ordered it from the states in the end. Job done
Also replaced the relay today and cleared the codes so fingers crossed it will sort the light

Well my hopes were shattered today.....the bloody light returned!!
Pump next I guess. Don’t suppose anyone knows the part number of the pump?
Or which she’ll arch it’s located in?
