A good independent MB service specialist wanted

Hi
I am looking for a good independent MB service centre that can look after my S320 Cdi
I live in Aberdeen Scotland but I am usually in the Manchester area on regular business trips so a recommendation for both would be great.
Also looking for a rough cost on how much a C service on my S320l Cdi would cost. Car has done approx 31k miles and does about 3-4,000 miles per year

I can't help you re Aberdeen area , but Merparts in Port Glasgow are probably the best in Scotland .

In manchester take a look at SPR autos. They do all the stuff I can't do on mine.
Thanks to them curing the limp mode on mine, I just done a trip to paris and back and the car never missed a beat.

SPR Autos in South Manchester, Greenvale Services in North Manchester.

About the only help I can give really, apart from mentioning that both seem to come highly recommended.

If you're driving back and forwards from Aberdeen to Manchester @ 700 miles per trip, your 3000 mpa will soon change

Looks as if the MB community is as friendly as a the Mitsubishi Evo family
The Glasgow contacts look good, only problem is every time I am done in Glasgow it is a frantic dash there and back. Trying to fit a service in could be tight unless I hire a car or get a courtesy car.
When I am in Manchester I am usually down for 2-3 days so I can leave car for the day to get serviced. Will give SPR a ring tomorrow and self they fit in a quick service next Friday on the S320
The mileage is low as most of my journeys are done in my Audi A6 or I sometime fly down and back. In Summer I usually take the Merc down for a run with the family and spend a dew days around Manchester , Bradford etc

Once again thanks guys. Just need a decent service in Aberdeen as The MB franchise is owned by Arnold Clark and they are a disaster. I would not trust them to fill the washer bottle let alone service the car


Now just need to see what is wrong with the AC

Buy if I can't get a courtesy car whilst I am down in Manchester can you recommend a place I can hire a car for the day that is near SPR autos? Not looking for anything fancy about a Mondeo / Vectra will do for the day as I would like to pop up to Bradford for the day. I could drop my S320 for a service and collect it the next day if I got a hire car

Train would probably be less hassle. An hour by train versus an hour by road, then taxi it.

However the problem is wife wants to go shopping with 2 kids and then to dinner at one of Bradfords curry houses. So lots of going from 1 shop to another so car much easier plus I am find public transport to restrictive with family as it goes on time not when family wants to go

Have a word with SPR. I'm sure they lend courtesy cars. Last time I was there a guy dropped off a C-class when he collected his ML. If not there is an enterprise on the other side of Stockport town centre. It's on the A6. Easy walking distance through the merseyway shopping centre.
