Bottles are a nightmare to recycle...wonder if it can be done with empty beer can's?

I've started to recycle wine bottles with the help of my electric tile cutter. By cutting the base off, about 2-3 inches from the bottom, you can make some tea-light holders from both parts - base for putting on things, the top part for hanging with wire passed through to hold the candle. The parts can also be used in the garden as cheap cloches. :)

A local pub with a hickory smoker has an American themed bar with inverted JD bottles as lamp shades on the wall lights. Looks very effective .
