I would just like to say a big thanks to Neil (neilrr) for my new addition to the W124 refurb project. Having posted on here regarding the need for a wood and leather wheel for my 124 Neil responded straight away and sent me a couple of big pictures so I could see exactly what I was looking at! The deal was done and I transferred the money friday morning, as I sit here now, looking at my leather and walnut wheel (oh it feels so good :)), I am a very happy customer!! A big thanks and a HUGE recommendation for anyone thinking of buying anything from Neil, really nice guy!

Also while I'm singing praises, I love this forum! I have never been on another where people are so eager to offer so much advice and help!

So a big thanks to Neil and to everyone on here! Keep up the good work!!

Dave

Let's have a PICTURE of it installed in your car , then :D

How is the work going?Any pic yet?

Work so far is just getting prices and bit's ordered. Got my wings and a front screen on order from MB, they should be contacting me today! (fingers crossed)
As for the pictures..... They will be startinf fairly soon I hope, need to get the leather conditioned as it's a little dirty at the mo but they will be up soon enough.

Same here with the leather mate, but when you`ll have the w124 you`ve always wanted you would see that was well worth it.You might need to change the front speakers once you have the front windscreen out.

I can also confirm Neil (Neilrr) to be a genuine guy to buy bits off.

I also was after a W124 wood/leather steering, (he must have a source from Germany or something!), sent me a picture, met me half way & done a done a deal we were both happy with.... No drama's nothing.:thumb:

rainbow IQ230-Mercedes-231182 - only £109.99 inc VAT : Ray Smith Car Audio

I'm looking at installing these while it's out :thumb: A direct swap! Custy!

Might be installing a small sub under the first aid kit too!

The wallet is already taking a beating, as I keep saying to the Mrs, if the car costs me 5.5k in total I would be happy! There is nothing for that money that would be in as good condition IMO as a well specced, refurbished 124!!

Finally someone that thing`s same as me.After spending nearly 5k on the car,i`ll have the car i wanted. Are you thinking for any spoiler?

No spoiler for me, I was going to go down the Gen2 AMG Kit with the 3 piece spoiler and the whole car in Blue/Black but due to the low mileage, I am keeping her original. I have had 3 W124's Blue/Black over grey and it's my favourite combination (if it aint broke...)

Have your arches arrived yet?

This week.

Fingers crossed! Is it going straight into the bodyshop?
It is at the bodyshop:bannana:Reg the spoiler i was thinking for the red one witch you can see on my album:thumb:The project one is gona bee black with gen2 bodykit;)

That will look fantastic, how many 124's do you own??
3,but is never enough, lol. Not a big fan of the 3 piece rear spoiler, cos it suits gen1 kit.Gen2 would look fantastik, and is still original.Akash has one for sale and includes the fog lights:thumb:
