Black jacks, flying saucers etc were 4 for a penny.... yummy

Frozen Jubblies, and the newsagent close to school selling Cadet (the cheapest/smallest) cigarettes individually....(early 60s)

Going to school by steam train...(late 50s early 60s)

Winkle picker shoes and lime green socks, drainpipe trousers with zips in the inside seam so that they'd go over your foot...(60s)

Looking now at my 1974 wedding photos, how did I dare wear the platform shoes, wide lapel jacket, ultra wide trousers, and a kipper tie!

Ah, nostalgia's not what it used to be

How many parts will there be?

Woodbine cigarettes at 5 for 10d. Quick smoke behind the cycle shed.
Penny bangers around November 5th.
Small mileometer to fit on the front forks of your bicycle.
Knowing the name of the local copper.

No television
No telephone
Liquorice wood
Dr Collis Brown ( A panacea for all ills)
Ration books
Drinking Tizer out of my Coronation glass
Polishing the cutlery each Saturday morning
Roasting chestnuts on a shovel over an open fire
Black and white (not monochrome) 12 inch Ferguson television in time for ER 2nd's Coronation plus news of the conquest of Everest
...and so much more

Trolley buses.
Horse & cart delivering coal, beer, etc.
Corona Cream Soda.
Itchy, short trousers and walking to school, in all weathers with chafed thighs.

Is this a dementia test by any chance. :)

Collecting empty 'pop' bottles and using the refund money to buy any of the aforementioned.
