THIS ended whilst I was out at the gym, I'd forgotten the finish time. Looks like someone may have bagged a bargain there.

Looks like it has AMG body styling as well as the wheels - nice spec and low mileage to boot.

A bargain

Will

Bargain, and such a nice colour combination too.

Hello

Would you not have looked at it first? and driven it? or had you already.

No way I would spend that sort of money on it 'looking good' in the pictures.

?

I think it is possible to walk away from the auction contract if after viewing it the description was not accurate.

eg. 'superb condition' to me would have to mean no marks and certainly no rust

If it's not as described, you just walk away, simple as that. Remember too, that sellers can't leave negative feedback anymore. I did bid on an Audi A4 3.0 cabriolet unseen a couple of weeks ago, sadly it went £300 above my self imposed limit.

If I'd thought this CLK would've finished around that amount, I'd have watched it far more closely. I thought it would sail well above £10k. I can't imagine the seller's too happy, the listing states it was for sale elsewhere at £14995 iirc.

Fair enough,

If thats the way things are done... I would still rather view in person and drive?

Under ten grand, crazy.

Anyone with cash lying that theyve budgetted maybe a year ago for a new car is gonna get such a bloody buzz from what they can buy.

I for one wouldnt have said even six months ago that we'd buy two family cars totalling 12 seats and 9.3 litres with every toy in the book on our drive in the middle of a recession.....(and I havent included the other cars lying about in various states of "nearly ready to sell" totalling 8.9 litres, oh and plus a 300cc tractor!).

Having previously bought three new cars over 12 years, with options, we're now conducting an experiment:-

New well specced car mid-to-high range plus m/d servicing plus depreciation vs top-spec-top-of-range car used plus repair costs plus specialist indi servicing plus depreciation.

Right now.....I have a budget for repairs and servicing on the s430 of..........>

I conservatively reckon about £31000 to spend in four years.....on a car £30000 more new in the showroom too.......Not that i'm feeling confident or anything, but those AMG wheels I think won't "break the bank.........." ;)

He dropped almost £6000 from the asking price??? and no interior pics?
