I experienced something new today - being driven round by Master E after passing his driving test this morning
He's got himself a little Fiat - which is quite funny when he's 6'2" - but it's a car we've known for a long time (bought from a girl Mrs E worked wit, who had bought it from Mrs E's nephew, so we know it's been looked after for the past few years) and it was surprisingly cheap to insure through Aviva.
His last test was cancelled because of the snow and he wasn't keen on being the first out at 08:10 this morning, but he was as pleased as anything when he called at 9:00. Insured by 9:40, then we picked up his little roller skate and he drove me around on a few errands.
No way he will be let loose in mine (company only allows drivers 25 and over) but a mate has offered to let him try his CL600 in a few weeks time (as long as I'm happy and I'm with him).
He's now left for college, so I expect Mrs E and I are due a few anxious evenings before we settle down to the idea that our "little" lad is out and about on the road.
