The Ad for the Estate is outstanding and honest IMHO. Details? wow too many to list.

Check the wear and tear on the leather steering wheel for the 220CE and ONLY at 139k miles!!!!

The guy who owns it probably wears a ring and drives with his arm on the window ledge ... the ring will wear a wheel out pretty quick when it catches....

I wore my CRX wheel out like this..... good excuse to buy a momo though ;)

That really is quite some wear on the steering wheel-maybe he steers with his knuckle duster or the car has done a lot more miles than the clock shows??

Its had work done on it, the boot badge is in the wrong place for a start ....

Seems to sit very high in the side on photos too ....

Electric folding mirrors too, thats a nice touch ... i didn't realise that they offered them on a 124 ..

They don't . . do they??
hmm I feel a search for a mod coming on :D

So it says in the ad ....

And do you know what ....... i was thinking exactly the same thing as you ! ;)

Gotta stop the modding and buying bits at the mo, if this c36 turns out to be real, then i'll be having that so no point in spending more cash and time on the whale ....

Has anyone ever seen that much wear on a steering wheel at 140k...

Perhaps it is wear from a steering wheel locking device such as Krooklok etc.

No need to beat around the bush it's been clocked.Don't you just love Traders.

The estate listing is a commission sale outfit...the good and bad lumped together in a car park. It's a US style listing...lots of pics which is a step in the right direction.

What, so it's done over 1.1million miles?

I doubt that. The previous driver just had a firm grip, or a big sovereign ring or something....

PJ

PJ , i think he means the numbers (miles ) have been wound back .... that is what clocking means ...

Not ' its been around the clock ' and is on its second time round ...

Thanks Howard, and apologies Big X. I misread the post.

You didn't realise because MB actually never offered it...either RHD or LHD.

So, does someone do an aftermarket kit then ? or are they talking poo ?

I think they got mistaken with electric mirrors....

For the riding height it might be a car imported from India or similar and equipped with the increased height suspension (can't remember the option code).

Oh well there goes a potential mod . . I guess I should be happy that I'm saving a bit of cash . . but it would have been a nice option to have on the car.

That coupe looked very nice though. Swore i would never own one again after my '73CE rusted away on me. But that would be nice car to have at the weekends and give the estate a deserving rest.
