Hi,
I have now replaced my cats. It turned out that, although I only needed 1 cat changed each side has the 2 cats on the one pipe. I changed both sides together.
I now have a pair of MB cat pipes. The Passenger side is completely fine, and was swapped out to balance the sound of the new pipes. (a deeper growl)
The drivers side has got a blown rear cat that can be remanufactured for £200 (I can arrange this for you). The pre cat is working OK and showing no signs of wear.
MB want £512 plus vat each for these new £1190 without fitting
(they have convered 34,000 miles, and were showing very strong readings at the last MOT in september)
£ 300 anyone ??
