Depends very much on what distance they are racing over (I didn't see that mentioned). The Jet Provost is only a 1950s trainer.

Oh no, it's in the Swindon advertiser. They will have fact checked anything a publicity hungry takeaway owner will have said. Obviously. Doh. I expect it will also get to escape velocity given a long enough strip.

His 'fast jet' :rolleyes: competition is a Jet Provost T5. I trained on Jet Provosts (though never the T5); the T3 and T4 were known as 'the constant speed variable noise machine'. My money's on the C63...
