A Service @ Mercedes Dealer But Add Blue still @60%? What should I do..?

I did an A Service to my 5 Year old Diesel E Class (W213) at Mercedes dealer, paying £565. I have following queries..

1. AddBlue level was at 60% before service, Mercedes Vehicle check (video shared) also reported AddBlue as 60%.
I talked Mercedes after vehicle check on the service day, they said it will be toped up. But I have got any proof of this except I can claim I talked to service person.
I expected it to be toped up, but after service also still at 60%.

Any inputs on this..? Is this expected for A service..? What should I do..? Should I take this up with Merc UK?

2. I was told during Mercedes Vehicle check (video shared) that there is a COMMAND (UI) update and it will take 1hr to complete. Mine was drop and Go service.
I am told it will cost £125 and when went to collect car they gave me a 'pleasant' surprise by not charing me for the COMMAND update!
After checking the UI/Command I can see no reset and all recent call info etc retained. I normally see all recent data (call, navigation) wiped if there is any COMMAND update. I can't find a way to see COMMAND version or update info from the system.

Any comments on this..? Or am I too cynical..?

Ok, If is normal not to update AddBlue for A service when it is 60%
and
If Command update will not reset data then I don't want to raise this with Dealer.
Thats why want to hear experience in this forum and then talk to dealer..Thanks

On my service plan adblue has been filled on my last 2 services I have had. Did they charge you for the adblue, if not, then I would just top up yourself, if they had charged you, then that’s not on.

The dealer will know what should be involved in the service and keep records of hence my suggestion that you bring up any queries with them.👍

Did not charge, but during call it was told it will be topped -up also its A service costing £560. So expected to topup things like Adblue

Your Adblue is akin to your fuel tank, they can’t assume you would want them both topping up to 100%
Dealer told it will be topped -up. During vehicle Health Check clearly mentioned it only 60%. If 60% is normal why need to mention during vehicle Health Check.?

Dealer said just before collection over phone they did COMAND update and charging me £120. But when collected car they decided not to charge me £120. But I can't see COMAND update mentioned as updated in the service report. I couldn't see any factory reset (normally updates clear all recent call/navigation data) . So I assume no COMAND update also done.

A maps update doesn't delete the history or performs a factory reset (If the maps update goes wrong, then it sometimes requires a factory reset to resolve, but this is not the norm). Just check the current maps version from the screen menus .

They have not topped up your Adblue and not charged you for the labour or fluid.
They may or may not have updated Command and have not charged you.
I am having difficulty understanding what your issue is.

I'd be more concerned that the car has an Adblue system than whether it was topped up or not.

My cars were always topped up with Adblue during services, these were a 2016 E300 Hybrid and a E350 Both S212 cars, the E350 was on a service plan the E300 was not.

Not once has Mercedes ever topped mine up, and I have seen a service instruction that stated any top ups during a service should be charged to the customer.
But Adblue has a limited shelf life, who knows if the dealer has some old stock and decides to use it all up before he orders some fresh supplies? Hence, no charge.

What would be the worst thing that could happen? A few months after the service the EML comes on and they find your Adblue system is faulty and we can fix it for say £1200?
While that might sound too cynical, look at the Adblue for sale at your local service stations, despite sunlight shortening it's lifespan, you'll find it stacked outside in the sunshine in clear see through containers!

The system is flawed in both design and application.

Indeed. And the implementation is now becoming flawed as more and more people delete the adblue system, and in the process "upgrade" their cars from euro6 to euro 3 or 4 but still retain the benefit of low road tax and free access to ULEZ areas.
You could not make it up.

I've heard of dealers taking the piss ,but never giving the piss 😂😂😂
