This may be of interest to some:

[FONT=&quot]"Currently we are conducting a study with car drivers focusing on possible future online services from Mercedes-Benz. Therefore, we would like to conduct interviews in a test studio with some of our Mercedes-Benz customers.

We would very much appreciate if you could support us in developing an excellent experience for Mercedes-Benz drivers by taking part in an interview!

Soon our partner institute Kantar Live will get in touch with you to clarify if you would like to participate and if you fit the target group. We would be delighted if you would give us some of your valuable time to support us. Of course your participation will be compensated with an attractive incentive.

If we have made you curious about this or future studies you also have the possibility to register directly and provide us with some personal data. You just need to follow this link:

Of course they want your personal info. Who cares...? I am signing my life away without knowing whenever I click 'I Accept' to EULA. I have no issue with that...

Get them to polish your car - you'd have a deal then surely :)
In a nutshell ^^^^ the calculation people fail to make is what their personal information is worth. They view it at an individual level rather than at a collective level. Whereas my personal car or other buying preference is worthless individually when taken as a member of a certain economic/geographic/ethnic demographic its worth millions. When you sign a EULA agreement its normally in return for a pre- defined reward/goods/services received as its part of a transaction. Normally a suitable reply to these privacy invasive organisations offering vague promises of "rewards" is to reply I'm sorry but I already have charitable organisations I donate to.

Most probably it's a focus group or survey conducted by an external marketing firm.... you sit with other like-minded people and have a guided discussion. It usually takes 1 to 2 hours. They they pay you for your time - anything form £20 to £100 depending on their budget and target audience.
