A tale of sorrow :(

I have the amg lip spoiler from my car, was painted black and then didn't look right so is sat in the bodyshop ready to paint red.... but obv if I change the car from red to grey then the spoiler in black may suit better

Maybe carbon dip?

Waited just over 14 months having my car off the road being built and after only getting to use it twice I wanna get this show on the road, I run a fairly large car and bike club and feel like I have missed out on so many events and shows lately due to the car build as it's not quite the same turning up in the daily drive (Mondeo estate lol)

So want to get cracking on and get the new car, get the parts all transferred over and then all resprayed again... give me 3-4 months and hopefully the new clk63 will be wearing all the parts from my current clk55 ;)

Yeah have been humming and harring over it, looks nice but think it would soon bore me

Have spoken to my bodyshop and they are giving me 2 prices

1 for keeping it all red
1 for a complete colour change

Anyone got any cool colour ideas ?

Matt black is my current favourite

Anything but Nardo (AKA Primer) Grey. It's a silly fad that will pass.

Someone should tell Audi, they have been painting more or less that colour since the MKI TT back in 2000! The exact name escapes me atm.

So today the car runs spot on, maybe the air flow meter has dried out a bit

I am however getting a horrid clunking / banging noise if I try to accelerate hard from under the car, under where the gear selector is

I have 2 guesses

1. A rusted prop shaft joint
2. The gearbox chain slipping

Could any of the water that got into my engine somehow have got into the gearbox too, surely they are sealed from each other

I take it there is no noise when you rev it in neutral?

No noise atal and only does it sometimes

Have taken a video, you'll see in the first pull it makes the noise, I pull over and then pull away again a few times and nothing atal

Does this sound like the flex disc maybe, alot of threads I read seem to point to it But why would it all of a sudden go, could it be the fact that it was water soaked and then sat for a good 3 weeks before being driven
