250 mile round trip today, Surrey to Dorchester & environs: elapsed driving time 6 hours 45 minutes in hammering rain, pools of standing water, rivers running down sides of road, masses of spray on duals and motorways. Delays, accidents and all sorts of woe. All in all, worst rain I have driven through for some time.
But I lost count of the number of people driving without lights or on poxy side lights only, tailgaters and general driving with no consideration or appreciation of prevailing conditions.
It really depressed me, special prize going to prat in Silver Audi A4 (no lights) who tried to pass after I had stopped to allow oncoming traffic to wade through a pool of standing water across entire road.
