yep many will be uneconomical to repair at that age and will be scrapped before they reach 15yo.

Thought this had been covered in detail many times. Your M103 engined 300E should be fine. It was with the change to biodegradable wiring along with the twin cam engines the problem arose. At the same time much of the wiring was re-routed and placed in very close proximity to the engine --accelerating the insulation degradation.
