MODS: please move if necessary.

GENTLEMEN, PLEASE WARN ANY GARAGE THAT YOU HAVE DEALINGS WITH ABOUT A COMPANY CALLED "MOTORTRADES.CO.UK"
THEY USE HIGH PRESSURE TELEPHONE SALES TACTICS TO SECURE ADVERTISING CONTRACTS THAT YIELD NO REWARD AND THEY WILL TAKE A FORTUNE FROM YOUR CREDIT CARD, NOT JUST ONCE, BUT REPEATEDLY.

PLEASE PASS THE WORD. IF YOU DO A SEARCH YOU WILL FIND PLENTY OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THEM AND THEIR PRACTICES.

IF YOU FREQUENT OTHER FORUMS PLEASE COPY AND PASTE THIS THERE.

I have been stung. Sh!t company

Could I suggest you contact trading standards - if you can cut them off at the legs they will cease to be a problem - hopefully.

BBC Watchdog too would love somethinglike this!

A friend of mine got involved with these people, just kept charging his card...

Just short of £3000.
Watchdog have been alerted, I'll speak to trading standards now.
PLease spread the word as much as you can to all you can as fast as you can.
These people are just playing a game with the system. They don't care at all for morality, they'll just milk the system for as long as they can, much like the engine shop in Southall recently on the news.

I used these guys, total waste of time. Didn't have issues with repeatedly taking money but they phoned almost daily trying to get us to advertise with them evan when we already were.

Hello

We have read your postings above and would like the opportunity to address any problems that you may have with your advertising campaigns.

Firstly, it is important to understand we have tens of thousands of customers which have been built up since 2006 – and with this many customers, we are inevitably going to have a few that are unhappy for one reason or another.

We’re concerned to read the above posts where it is claimed that we bill you for items that have not been ordered.

To set the record straight, we only ever bill payments that are due to us under the terms of your agreement.

When you place an order with us, we conduct a confirmation call. This call is conducted to a set process and follows a specific script. The call clarifies the terms of the order, the fees due to us and any specifically agreed terms, e.g. payment plans or specific search criteria under which you will be found.

We record these calls for security and training purposes and we can review these call recordings to resolve any issues or complaints that may have arisen.

If you have a genuine concern, we’d love the opportunity to help you and would ask that you email [email protected] quoting your sales order number.

This can be found on the top right hand corner of your sales order (we mail you this by recorded delivery the day after you place your order) or you can find this reference in the subject line of your electronic agreement that we send to you after the order has been made.

If you contact us with specifics about your complaint, we’ll immediately, 1) review the call recordings, 2) review your orders and 3) in the rare event of an error, take immediate action to put things right.

If you’d prefer to speak with a member of the customer relations team by telephone rather than email you can call 01277 89 77 70 or 01277 89 77 73 Monday to Friday between 0915 and 1715 but if your issue is detailed, it may be easier for you to email [email protected] as stated above.

The majority of directory businesses have various negative postings across the internet; does this mean internet advertising doesn’t work? No.

Internet advertising is a proven and effective method of generating leads for your business – we offer a login facility which allows you to monitor responses to your campaign, you should have received a username and login by email when you ordered our services – but if for any reason you can’t locate this, you can again email [email protected] and we’ll get this re-issued to you within a day or so.

Nice generic cut and paste.

optout@ is an interesting choice of email address too :D

LOL at the cut and paste... you should have at least changed the font to match the rest of your post...

Nice that you go through the trouble of posting online, sad that you've gotten such a bad reputation...

Within a day of MOTORTRADES.CO.UK appearing on mbclub, it's on the first page of google searches for Motortrades... this wont be good advertising unless you can turn around the multiple disgruntled customers you have on the forum...

Good luck!
m.

Like I said you vermin parasites are playing the system and your response only serves to illustrate it.
Let's keep playing the game and ripping people off until someone stops us!
"Oh, but we have a contract"!
You winkers. How can you sleep at night?
Even if it did turn out to be the case that a court decides that you do indeed have a contract, it doesn't mean that your victims, and that's exactly what they are, victims, are willing partners to it.
Bombarding busy people with cold calls and then having a closer (person who closes the deal) follow up with a quick-fire verbal contract that includes the statement "You have the right to cancel this contract before the close of this conversation, thereafter the contract becomes legally binding" or words to that effect is hardly ethical is it?
I'm delighted that you've chosen to come on here and attempt to justify yourselves,as in doing so you have illustrated first hand the levels that you will go to to protect you hideous line of income.
I bet your MDs are sitting on a luxury yacht in the home of all shallow morons, Ibiza, and laughing to their mates about how much money you ignorant salesmen are making them whilst they lounge around exposing their purrelent, lobster coloured flesh to all the equally shallow young women who are easily charmed by the proceeds of your ill-gotten gains.
I suppose the mods are going to delete this post now because it might be regarded as inflammatory. Well my fuse is well and truly lit I can tell you!

Hello

We do genuinely care – and want to make sure we get things right.

The majority of companies complained about in forums never bother to respond, showing that they pay little interest in what is being said about them, or that they just do not care about resolving problems.

We do care and if anyone reading this forum has a genuine complaint, we’d like to be able to help you.

Please email [email protected] quoting your sales order number, and we’ll do our best to resolve things to your satisfaction within 2 business days, sooner if we can.

Again, you can reach the customer relations team on 01277 89 77 70 or 01277 89 77 73 asking for the Operations Manager. These lines are open Monday to Friday from 0915 to 1715.

Any new customers considering advertising with us can take advantage of a risk free trial for 30 days. This would be a simple directory listing covering your local town in the classification of either German Car Specialists or Mercedes Benz Specialists.

At the end of the 30 day period, you can review your responses and either ask for your listing to be removed or you can sign a 12 month or 15 month contract.

We are not monitoring this forum on an ongoing basis, so please do not post problems here, as they may not be seen quickly – problems or billing issues should be reported to [email protected] so that we can help you.

Many Thanks,

HA hahhahahahahahahahah!!!!:bannana::bannana:
The only thing you people care about is protecting your revenue.

And as for your 30 day no obligation trial.

"Here little boy, have a revolver to play with. Don't worry, it's not loaded (yet)!"

Please don't delete.

I have complained on more than one occasion about these people. You post is too kind IMO.

Why not try what they say in the note? At least they've bothered to respond.

I don't know what their sales practices are like, but don't things like Distance Selling regs come into play? Also, is there any come-back via the credit card company?

I'm not saying that they are whiter-than-white or that you (or they) are wrong. They've offered a possible route to a solution, why not try it (and keep us all informed in the process).

As a general rule, I've always held the view that anyone who has to hard-sell their advertising is not going going to cut it; if they were any good then they would have a good reputation as a source of work and people would be contacting them.

Dear “Spanner”

With reference to your posting made at 1700 and 1711, if you have a customer issue, that you’d like us to help you with, please email [email protected] so that we can assist.

To help us, please include the sales order number from your invoice or from the subject line of your electronic agreement.

We do care about customer service, and we feel our responses demonstrate this. We can’t help you further unless you contact us.

Regards

Customer Services

And be very sure if you reveal who you are Spanner, you WILL suffer.
