As I already do 25 - 30 days marshalling at BH each year anyway, I didn't see that the A1GP warranted more of my time.what was "enough" about it?
Now, this weekend is going to be brilliant.
Citroen 2CV racing.
You should go and see some real racing. Go to a British Superbikes meet. The next one is Silverstone next Sunday, Oulton Park after that.
Proper racing, proper overtaking, proper pain and injuries, a proper day out.
And if you see a ginger-haired tv cameraman with specs, that'll be me so wave

I'd do a Superbikes -if James Cracknell was gonna be there - he was on the BSB the other weekend
He is at all of them.
You should see the make-up he has to wear
I've never been to a circuit and watched A1, but I have desperately tried to work up some enthusiasm when watching it on TV. For the life of me though I cannot figure it out. The cars are identical, the drivers come and go, Only drivers who take part in at least one of the three practice sessions can take part in the races. Therefore a maximum of three drivers can take part at a race weekend. Each team can use a pool of drivers at different races. It is country against country, but the national car does not have to be driven, or maintained by that nation??? Then to top it off, you have a race commentator that lacks any ability to enthuse the audience. Apart from that I reckon it well worth watching Unfortunately I haven't had the ability to watch a complete race, even though I have tried and tried again.what was "enough" about it?
Yes.
I hope he didn't damage his bike!I was the one that had Sean Emmett blow up on the last lap, go onto grass, fall off, then catch fire.

Each to their own and I'm sure lots of folks find this formula entertaining and John Watson an exceptional commentator.
