A140 Hub Caps...

I do not have alloys... so I presumed the large plastic covers for the wheels were still called hubcaps? No? :(

My bad! :( Indeed they are wheel trims ;)

I'm sure you will. Have you looked into a decent independent specialist for servicing. The garage will need to know them as they have a rather unconventional (and very innovative at the time) engine design.
My brother (who doesn’t drive and has never owned a car!!) told me about this innovative engine, something about it being flat packed?? I do have a local MB dealership also an independent MB garage very near by, so I’ll start saving for the service now! :D
I have a friend who specialises in Audi and VW, he has said he will take a quick look over the car this week too :)

That's cool, the engine is lying almost flat, designed to go under the passenger compartment in the event of an accident.
Very innovative at the time and also ha Ing a 'honeycomb' design double floor resulting in the floor being completely flat with no. Umps or lumps for transmission etc.
... Still awake!!?? ;) zzzzzz

No actually!! :p It is interesting, that’s the just of what my brother had told me! I love the ‘flatness’ in the back... it makes loading a lot easier! I’ll be going camping in few weeks, so the ’loadability’ will be put to the test! :D
Yes, being able to turn it into a small van with all the seats removed was brilliant... IMG_20190708_060630.jpg IMG_20190708_060717.jpg

Star Motor Services in Caversham are the closest recommended MB indy to you.

They do look tempting mind you...!
They do look quite good:

(my old A160 - sold it in 2015)

Last time I bought hub caps (same style black ones as posted previously), I could buy 4 for £8 or one genuine for £8.

So it makes sense sometimes.

I've never had a car with wheel trims but I've seen sometimes people use cable ties to stop them from disappearing which might be worth doing... (unless they were so cheap you don't care).

My ‘eBay special’ hubcaps have arrived... although they’re not MB, I think they tidy the car up quite well :D

Ha... Of all the coincidences, we put those wheel covers on our winter wheels on the A210s. :)

That looks better.

Only just seen this thread. Are wheel trims difference sizes for different models, cos I have a nice set of Mercedes wheels trims from my 124?
