A170 2007 cluster removal help

Hi folks, just need help on removing the instrument cluster, I've no idea on how to do it. Need to to unplug it to check if that causes a power drain overnight.

Can't you drop the underside of the dash in the footwell , reach up and push it out from behind ?

That's how pretty much every MB cluster comes out if you don't have the hooks

Failing that , make two pulling hooks from some coat hanger , shove down the side , twist them and then pull. There is more risk of chipping the edges this way , so most just shove them out from behind.
