I recently purchased a newish Mercedes a class a180cdi from Mercedes Benz of Birmingham. All was fine until just yesterday I noticed something rather strange whilst driving in ECO mode with the heater full blast the car engine temp would drop to 60-70c and stay there. However if the car heater was turned off the temp would rise again to 90c, is the thermostat sticking open?
Has anyone else experienced this?
Similary in ECO mode when driving from cold with the heater is full blast the car will not heat to 90c however once the heater is off it will get to 90c and then the car will drop to 70 depending on whether the car is stationary or the heating is on.
