Hello

My son has a A200 2014 with the 7 speed dsg gearbox.

Its come up with a red warning don’t drive, transmission fault etc.

Issue is its stuck in gear or park, read out is blank and you can select any gear or start the car.

Is there a way to get car out of gear or out of park so we can move it and get it to the workshops..?

Many thanks

No unfortunately there isn't a way. I used to just use skates on the front wheels and then push the vehicle in the workshop.

Have you tried disconnecting the battery for 15 mins ?

Excuse the thread resurrection job here but is this a worthwhile exercise? I have the same issue on a 2007 ML420. Didn't think it warranted a new thread as it appears it's basically a dealer / specialist issue, but anything I can try whilst waiting for my Merc people to get back to me has got to be worth it.

You need fault codes read, my educated guess is the ISM module faulty

Yes, what I'm thinking too. I've contacted an independent garage in my local town but they haven't got back to me yet. I've got a Carly scanner but it finds no transmission faults.

Yeah the ISM is an individual module so you need a scanner that can read it

It is listed in the live data but says not responding. So maybe my scanner, maybe the ISM. 🤷🏼‍♂️
