Guys, i took my a200 to MB dealer shop to check on suspension worn bushing issue and they claim i got a intake side cam cover leaking oil issue that costs 1800gbp to fix !! Is that a fair price ? Any alternative garage i can go for to save money?

The engine oil level Stays normal without reducing from the panel, which i doubt if the leaking oil should be a minor one. Ofc no one know except the technicians can tell … this is a 2019 a200 i bought it from dealer shop since last dec, and i drove 1000miles only which i am not sure what i should do for it…

Any recommendation please ?
Thanks all

Invoke the Sale of goods Act , supplying dealer is liable for the repair

If he refuses , tell him you will take legal action to recover the cost of repairs, he will know you will succeed having given him the chance to repair it.
keep detailed records of all conversations / phone calls / emails etc ( time date etc ) just in case you have to take him to court

After a bunch of escalation actions that has been done, finally they triggered what they call the ‘good will’ process and it will covered the full bill of repairment ! What a surprise!

The joy of this tremendous forum.
You’d have been stiffed for that bill had it not for the great advice given by Guys on here.

6 months, after that you have to prove the fault was there when you bought it.
Useful to know.
