A209 CLK320 seat issues sorted

Hi all

I thought I would share the issues and fix for my seat issues as I struggled to find the solution in various forums

issue - seat back would go down but not up

I have the memory seats option

it would go up using the memory button so clearly the motor is ok

I got hold of a fault code reader and it showed
B1064 back rest adjustment synchronisation error

fix
- turn in ignition so all Lights show
- operate relevant seat switch to move back rest down as far as it will go.
- when it stops hold switch for 3 seconds
- operate switch to move seat forward as far as it will go and again hold switch for 3 seconds

seat back rest should now be synchronised and will move up and down

this can be repeated on all movements on the seat

if it goes back and doesn’t come up try using the memory button to bring it back up
